Quiet, quaint and older but well maintained. No resturant. Right next to AJ's fine foods though. I would stay again.

The Smoke Tree Resort was a quiet, relaxed hotel with great customer service. The little resort offers a warm swimming pool, fire place outside and bikes to take downtown. It was a romantic hotel and great for a couple to stay at.

The grounds were beautiful, very serene and so private. It was quiet and nice to be tucked away from all the hustle and bustle although you could be in the thick of things right around the corner! Great location, we would defintely go back again and would recommend to friends not wanting a high end resort hotel!

A little paint/color would add and help with the blandness of the rooms.... Wonderful grounds however.

Great value for price. Huge room with nice bar with fridge. Beautiful grounds. We drove in the wrong entrance and it was dark and looked empty. Once we drove around to the office and saw out room we were amazed we ever questioned. Nice friendly staff too.
That I only booked one night.

I stayed with my 11 year old son. We came to az for the Insight Bow from Iowa. I was so grateful for finding this place. I wanted any easy going, restful, and quiet location. This place was all of those and much more. The delightful market just an easy 2 minute walk away had all the fresh fruit, munchies, and great coffee you could want, as well as prepared meals. All the rooms are ground floor with a patio outside your room. The shining sun was glorious for us and having green grass outside the room was even better. The rooms are clean and comfortable, definitely will stay there again. If your looking for a luxiourious high rise, this isn't your place, but for anyone else that loves sunshine, great service, and simplicity, this is a great choice.

The people were very friendly and helpful.
This resort is in a nice setting but is an older establishment with no amenities. The rooms have been remodeled but are not quite as nice as the pictures and descriptions look online. To justify my answer below I am not sure that I would recommend this to other travelers unless they were looking for seclusion because the value is not equal to some of the other hotel/motels in the same price range.

Beautiful grounds, nice rooms spread out in a number of small buildings. Very peaceful, yet very close to Scottsdale Road.
No complaints -- very pleasant place to stay.

This resort proved to be a nice oasis from the big hotel and resort theme. The grounds were serene and well managed. The room was clean and updated in most respects considering the facility was built in the 1950s. It was not glitzy but comfortable nonetheless. The room had a sliding glass door that looked out into a quiet and The nicely landscaped area that set this resort apart from the busy-ness of upscale hotels in our opinion. We could park 50 feet from our door which was very convenient. No charge for parking as well. The location was perfect for both the city and country traveling that we did including a play downtown and a trip to Sedona. The hotel staff were excellent.
We felt the privacy curtain over the entry sliding glass door was inadequate at nighttime with the lights on. We asked about this and were able to put an additional curtain over it which easily addressed this concern.

A wonderful place to stay a few days or longer. Single appartments with direct access to the pool, clean BBQ grill, nice surrounding - everything was perfect.
